Treo 180 Speaker Fix-Up
The other night I finally got around to fixing my Treo 180 so I can actually use it as a phone again. (Certain readers may find that surprising. :-) ) Thanks to this Treo 180 speaker fix guide the operation went mostly smoothly.
I should really have used thinner hookup wire but I just used what I had on hand so it's not the most pretty fix in the world. But at least it works. It really was a bad design flaw that should never have made it past QA.
Cheap, hackable Linux smartphone due soon?
On the subject of cell phones, can I have one of these, please. :-) Interesting seeing the "mad props" given to Nokia. Time will tell what this new entrant (assuming it appears as forecast) will mean to existing FLOSS/Linux-based players such as Nolkia's Maemo and the Palm-related Access platform.
